WELCOME : my voice
Have you ever heard about “Heroes without Rewards?’ That’s right. It’s our teachers. For me…. A teacher is our “source of knowledge”, especially at school, so, we should pay attention to their explanation and respect them. However, we have our own dreams about a teacher. She should be patient and kind. Students like teachers that can be trusted as friends, kind, and always understand all about us-- teachers that we can rely on and share our secret with. In fact, we realize, a teacher is a human being, too. She can sense our feelings, understand what we need, but she can be mad as well, if we hurt her heart.
Do we realize ….what we’ve got so far……most of it, is their hard work? They help us to be greater people from day to day, without any compliment from us. I know that they get their wages every month, but I know, what they have given and shared to us is much more valuable than that—their knowledge, wisdom, experience, and many more. It’s so priceless. We must not be able to pay it back. So, what we can do now is…just appreciate them. Maybe, you are not satisfied with them, cause, nobody’s perfect, right? They can’t satisfy every student because they have to treat big classes, with various problem coming from every students (even jut to imagine it, I can’t stand with that, phew!).
So, I have a good reason now to say that a teacher should be remembered as a hero in our life as long as we live in this world.(Jessica Dian 9A)

Maybe, I do not know how hard they have been trying to make me better. How tired they have been working just to make some simple notes which mean a lot for my future. I do not know because I have never done or felt it myself. But one thing for sure, I know, they love me. They have done it all…..for their loves to me.
I can read, I can write because of them. Sometimes, they make me annoyed. It is when they give me a lot of homework to do. Or….when I do bad things that make them angry with me. Once, I was told to leave the class when I did something wrong. Yeah, I feel so bad and hate them--a bit--because of such thing.
However, I believe, they will keep teaching patiently and kindly, no matter how bad the students are, no matter how often the students make them angry. They treat us-- the students-- like their own children.
Maybe, I do not know much about them. But one thing for sure…..no one can replace them—I know it.(Nanda 9B)

WELCOME ENGLISH/LIFE: story of a teacher-"orang biasa"
WELCOME ENGLISH readers,

This is about "orang biasa"
Here is A love letter from your "kid", for your birthday...
I met you some years ago
when I was very very young
didn't know what to do
even didn't know who I was
what I knew was....I was just nobody, knew nothing
it seemed, I was lost in this very big big world, met wrong people anytime- anywhere...
But then
you came to me....
not only greeted me
you hugged me and showed me
how beautiful I was, how beautiful the world was....yeah, everything was beautiful for me, after you made me think that way...beautifully.
You taught me many things...
about love, about life, about strength, about honesty, about bravery, about being a great person, about having a character, about arts........
but most of all....
finally, I learned.....the truth--the real life (that it's not always beautiful, or just a fake beauty--a truth or a lie---only wise heart and thought can consider it)
and before we had to part.....
even you still taught me
about betrayal and wisdom at the same time...
joy and pain
they are the truth
that's life
we can't deny it
yes,
how enjoyable and painful
the life that you have shown me...
I have to thank to you
because of it
I become SOMEBODY
more and more mature
stronger and stronger
(hopefully) wiser and wiser...
I have to live NOW in this present time
but I'll never forget the past...I should not...
cause the past...there, my life began...my character was built....my destiny was shown....

Welcome...."A step ahead to learn English and gain improvement"
Welcome, teacher’s day, on November 25, 2008.
I wrote this….it’s not because I’m a teacher.
I wrote this, cause…..to be a teacher, I need teachers, then, when I’m a teacher….I still need teachers.
Who is my teacher?
Anybody…..
My teachers at school, my parents and siblings at home, my colleagues at work, people in my environment, even, believe it or not……my students are my teachers!
Teachers when I was at school--people know already what they do
But students as my teachers?
They TEACH me these things all the time:
To be optimistic, facing the most difficult students
To be patient, helping them understand my lessons
To be more and more competent on my subject
To be more mature, more forgivable, more tolerable, stronger, wiser, from day to day…
But the most important thing is…
They teach me to be thankful to God for His blessing, for His giving me wonderful chance to a teacher, so that I am able to share all the gifts He has given me, to my students. By being teachers, we become “somebody”, help others to be “somebody” , and live not for “nothing”.
Thank you, all my teachers and students. God bless you all. Forever.
