Nice to greet you again in the second printed edition of WELCOME ENGLISH, the English simple tabloid of SMPK Kolese Santo Yusup 1, Malang
By this tabloid, we’d like to provide you with some simple and factual materials to encourage your learning English. We invite you all, not only to read this tabloid, but also send your piece of writing. As long as it is fun and beneficial for us to read and improve our English, feel free to send it to WELCOME ENGLISH. Your piece of writing should be in English, but don’t worry, PERFECT English is NOT a must. WELCOME ENGLISH is very special, You may make mistakes to be perfect —that’s our motto! So, nothing to be worried, right?

Hello everybody!Would you like to be beautiful, handsome and healthy? So, why don’t you take care of your body and your surrounding? Let us share some tips!
You need:
Soap and shampoo, tooth brush and tooth paste, healthy food, plants, broom, mop and fertilizer, trash bin
How to make ourselves beautiful, handsome, healthy and of course fresh..

Plants seeds in fertile soil and don’t forget to water it!

3> Get garbage and throw it into the trash bin, please!
4> After that, you can take a bath twice a day with soap and shampoo..and brush your teeth with tooth brush and tooth paste so…your teeth can be White and Clean!! J J
5> Now, enjoy your clean and fresh surroundings, accompanied with healthy food ^yummy^..^..hoaam.. (yawning) Are you sleepy?? Take enough rest….zzzz~~
Okay guyz, do you feel better now? Surely YES!!

A: Hey Tono, come here!
B: What’s up?
A: I have a new pet, it’s a dog.
B: Sounds cool. What is its name?
A: Its name is Tasemi
B: Can I see it?
A: No, you can’t
B: Why not?
A: It will chase you, if you see it.
B: So how can I see it?
A: Just call her name
B: Okay, I’ll try it..TASEMIIIIIIIII
C: Who’s calling my name?
B: Wow, your dog can speak
A: No, it can’t speak
B: Then, what was that?
A: That was my neighbour, Tasemi
B: What!!!??? Are you nut?
C: How dare you called my name while I was sleeping
B: Help!!!!
A:Ha..ha..ha..Gotcha!

At Saint Claus University North Pinguin street
There was a man that wanted to be a Saint Claus, but it seemed that he wasn’t the right person for that. His name is Saint Tom Crauise (TC). He got F in all subjects, afraid of deer, skinny, and many more.
One of the tests from WBSC was passing the MI3 (Mission Island .
But on his trip….
TC: “Oh my God! It’s rainy, no transportation, and wet. Phew…, fortunately…. my cart type is ‘Let’s Get the Beat’. My love is music, music colors my life. So I can come to the Island soon. Hohohoho…..Let’s go!
He got very excited and did not realize that he had lost one of the presents on his trip.
TC: “Saint Clause is coming to the island!..Saint Clause is coming to the island..tut tu tut …turut…Yeah…, at least…..only one house left…. If I finish this mission, I will have Kids Choice Awards trophy. Hohohoho…But …heyyyy…where is the last gift?…..I can’t find it here! Oh no….”
Suddenly, TC heard a little boy crying. The voice was from the last house that had not got the Christmas gift
TC: “Why are you crying?”
LB: “I heard bad news, my father can’t go home because his plane got broken at Quantum of Solace airport.”
TC: “If you haven’t got any gift, will you be as sad as this time?”
LB: “Of course not, I won’t. For me….my father is the nicest gift in the world.”
Suddenly, a bright idea got into TC’s head.
TC: “Really? I’ve got to go now. Wait for your Christmas gift here. Merry Christmas.”
So, TC got the true meaning of Christmas. He did not care about the gift anymore--those common gifts. There was something which was very special, the most special gift, indeed, for Christmas. So, he went to Quantum of Solace quickly and helped the engineer to repair the plane. Then, he went back to his house in North Pole happily because he had done something which was very important to help the little boy. However, he got a little bit disappointed because he was not able to complete the MI3 mission.
Soon, the result of the WBSC test was announced.
Headmaster: “Congratulation, TC! You have finished the test well. We sent a spy to watch all of the test participants, and TC was proved successful in performing good attitude and integrity. Now, he is the Saint Claus xxxvii.”

>AS LONG AS THERE ARE TESTS, THERE WILL BE PRAYERS IN SCHOOLS…(LOL)
In our previous edition, we discussed “adjectives” and how to use them in describing something. Now….try to find more adjectives in all written materials here, and pay attention to how they are used in any expressions. Remember, most of them will be used in these constructions:
- Noun phrase, e.g.: Interesting story

e.g .It is interesting
It was interesting
- S + (to) get/become/feel + adjective
e.g.She got angry
- S + (to) make + O + adjective
e.g. She will make you happy
